The Johnson City Public Library is pleased to host the Knoxville Zoo as part of the “Build a Better World” Summer Reading Program on Monday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Jones Meeting Room.
The Knoxville Zoo ambassadors will have up to three different animals and numerous artifacts to show and teach concepts such as habitats, adaptations, classifications, and predator/prey relationships. This program is designed for rising kindergarten through fifth graders and their parents/caregivers, but all are welcome to attend.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Johnson City Public Library. The Summer Reading Program will continue through July 20. Children are encouraged to participate in the Summer Reading Program and register at the library or online to be a part of the Summer Reading Club. Support materials for the Summer Reading Program are provided by the Tennessee State Library and Archives.
