Blue Plate Special, Northeast Tennessee’s most prolific and attractive improv troupe, celebrates their fifth anniversary with a pair of shows at The Capitol Theater in Greeneville, TN. From their first performance at the Blue Moon Dinner Theater in Johnson City on Valentine’s day 2014, Blue Plate Special has performed all over our region on stages in Kingsport, Asheville, Greeneville, Johnson City, Knoxville, and Gatlinburg at the Gatlinburg Improv Festival–where they will be returning this year for the second year in a row. After over 100 shows, the group continues to make audiences laugh with a series of short-form improvised scenes, using only audience suggestions to create entirely new worlds and characters.
To celebrate, Blue Plate is excited to return to their adopted home of The Capitol Theater. Come see the talented and funny group on February 9th and February 23rd at The Capitol! Both shows will start at 7:00 with tickets only $5.00 The February 9th show marks the group’s fifth year of performing together, with the show on the 23rd their send off to The Gatlinburg Improv Festival at the first of March. Come celebrate right along with Blue Plate Special as they perform for the greatest fans a bunch of idiots could ask for.
