Storyteller, David Joe Miller, presents the ever popular Spoken Word Open Mic at the Historic Eureka Inn, 127 West Main Street in Jonesborough on Wednesday evening, July 10th at 7pm. Bring your ten minutes of story, poetry or written work and sign up at 6:30 to share your words in front of a live, supportive and enthusiastic audience. There is never a theme, never any competition and never any censors. The event is an evening of free form spoken word and it’s always free and sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. David Joe Miller.
Spoken Word Open Mic began at New Mountain Sol Bar in Asheville, NC. in early 2015 and continues to be the premier spoken word open mic in the area. Each participant can sign up for a ten minute slot during the show. Writers, storytellers and poets are urged to bring their original work to share. This is a great opportunity to try out new material or to hone your public speaking skills.
The July show is co-hosted by ETSU Storytelling Masters graduate, Lee Lindsey and local storyteller/comedian, Pam Gosnell. The show will take place in the parlor of the beautiful and historic Eureka Inn in downtown Storytown USA, Jonesborough, TN.
