Two things have remained constant in my life. The need to be creative and the love of the outdoors. Photography meets both of those needs. I feel the most alive when I am outdoors photographing birds or hiking and photographing the mountains of beautiful East Tennessee.
My vision is to show the passion that I have for nature and to invoke a response in others with my photography. I hope to inspire people to look for the beauty in the minute details and feel a sense of wonderment for this world. It is my privilege to share what I have witnessed in the natural world to others.
I also, want to provoke the need to take action to protect our public lands and our wildlife.Bird populations in the US and Canada have been reduced by more than one quarter in the last 50 years. There are many reasons: loss of habitat, insecticides, pollution, flying into buildings or structures, and lack of food source due to climate change. I plan to use my platform of bird photography to work with conservation organizations to bring awareness to the public of the pressing endangerment to our birds and other wildlife.
