Emory & Henry College Resumes Limited On-Campus Visits

Emory & Henry College is now welcoming prospective students and their families for on-campus visits Monday through Friday by appointment only. Two tours will be offered each day at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Emory & Henry is abiding by safety standards and regulations to ensure campus tours are safe and enjoyable for students and their families. Golf cart tours of campus will take place with families of five or less with face coverings over their nose and mouths required to be worn at all times. At this time, guests will not be permitted to enter buildings aside from the Admissions Office which is being cleaned daily and sanitized between guests.

To meet with admissions counselors, financial aid, coaches, or current students, Emory & Henry will schedule a video conference call to discuss any questions or concerns prospective students may have.

The next Virtual Open House will be held on Wednesday, July 15. Registration is available at https://www.ehc.edu/calendar/event_id/42597/view/event. E&H will remain test optional for the Class of 2021 and the essay requirement has been dropped.

While campus was closed to visitors earlier this year due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic, students were encouraged to visit virtually or drive through campus while listening to a student-made video as a guide. These options are still available and encouraged. For more information, please visit www.ehc.edu/visit.

“There is no better time to attend college close to home and earn a degree to impact the changes that the pandemic has caused,” said Jennifer Pearce, VP for Enrollment Management and External Affairs. “We have scholarships and opportunities to reduce costs and are still enrolling for this fall. Many of our graduates who stay in the area to teach and serve in healthcare are now being awarded loan repayments through the Virginia Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission after graduation, to help save on costs as well.”
